Instagram is one of my favorite social media platforms because you get to see a glimpse into the real life of homesteaders. From the joys of new birth to unbelievable home canned pantries, there’s so much inspiration for homesteaders on Instagram.

Social media is a big part of our lives these days. There’s a lot going on in this big world and keeping in touch online makes it feel so much smaller. And that’s a good thing. Except social media is sometimes a negative place. Sometimes it feels like all I see is politics, violence, and hate.

That’s not for me. I don’t want see all that negativity all the time. How can I be happy if everything I read bums me out?
